Darryl Galloway, Sr. has been active in the mental health community in Ohio for over 20 years. He began his career as an Intake Aide at Bridgeway Crisis Shelter in Cleveland, and later worked at The Nord Center in Lorain as a Case Manager, managing patients with diverse diagnoses, including depression, schizophrenia, and personality disorder. For several years he was employed as a Behavioral Health Technician in the Adult Unit of Lutheran Hospital, a Cleveland Clinic Hospital with 85 psychiatric beds, where he also served as the Psychiatric Liaison and the Team Leader for the Code Orange Team. Previously, he was a Behavioral Health Tech, Nursing Department Assistant, and a Security Officer at the hospital. Daryll currently works as a NAPPI Master Trainer at Mercy Health, Cleveland, OH. Darryl is proficient in applying principles of trauma-informed care to his work with patients, and he possesses high-level assessment and de-escalation skills. Since completing his NAPPI Instructor Training in 2007, he has served as the Lead NAPPI Trainer for the Cleveland Clinic's Western Region, and he trained hundreds of employees to use NAPPI skills in diverse settings and situations. He is currently employed by Mercy Health Systems, the largest health system in Ohio as their NAPPI Training Coordinator. Darryl graduated from Cleveland School of the Performing Arts in 1984 and studied Communications at Wilberforce University in Wilberforce, OH.
