David has been working in the Behavioral Health Field in the state of Michigan for over 40 years. He began his career as an Institutional Social Worker and later worked as both a Human Resource Developer and a Training and Community Resource Specialist. These experiences have provided him with an in-depth understanding of the varied behaviors and challenges for people who struggle with developmental disabilities and/or mental illness. In 1994, he became a NAPPI Certified Advanced Instructor and has had the rewarding experience of delivering NAPPI safety training to thousands of care providers throughout the Midwest. He functioned as the Lead NAPPI Trainer at Community Mental Health of Muskegon County, where he managed and trained NAPPI to entry-level Mental Health Staff. He is highly valued by NAPPI for his wealth of knowledge and experience as well as his engaging training style. David graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Trinity International University in Deerfield, Illinois.
