Michael is a highly experienced NAPPI Master Trainer with nearly 10 years of professional behavioral training experience. He is uniquely skilled at educating and empowering professional trainers and staff in NAPPI techniques of behavior management. Before joining NAPPI in 2007 as a NAPPI Master Trainer, Michael was a Residential Administrator at the Eagleton School in Great Barrington, MA, from 2002 to 2007. During this time, he became a Certified NAPPI Professional Trainer. In 2007, Michael successfully completed an eight-week intensive professional training-of-trainers course followed by three years of supervised internships under Peter Eastman, former NAPPI President. Master Trainer Mark Buck qualified Michael as a Certified Master Trainer in all of NAPPI’s Advanced and Standard Courses and Modules. He has particular expertise in onsite direct training, custom curriculum, and advanced modules. Michael has acquired expertise in training and coaching adults in a variety of human services fields and settings, including public hospitals, community mental health organizations, residential treatment facilities, the U.S. Army, the U.S. Air Force, military medical centers, the Veterans Administration, and forensic psychiatry. He has also received a certification in Modular Development from Langevin Learning Services. Michael was a certified MANDT Systems Instructor and a Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Instructor. Michael has trained more than 500 staff and accumulated more than 10,000 hours of NAPPI instruction and is one of our most respected and requested Master Trainers.
